To charge a 12-volt battery, you need to charge with a 14-volt voltage,
To charge a 24 volt battery, 28 volts are required for charging.
It is not that a 12-volt battery is charged with a 12-volt voltage, and it cannot be charged with a 12-volt battery.
A 12-volt battery would be a 14-volt generator, and a 24-volt battery would be a 28-volt generator.
12V battery=14V generator 24V battery=28V generator
If the generator comes with a voltage stabilizer, just connect it directly to the battery
This 14V generator can be directly equipped with a 12V DC motor.
This 28V generator can be directly equipped with a 24V DC motor.
